André Gahrmann

André is een geboren Haarlemmer en heeft bij Gemeentepolitie Haarlem gewerkt als hondengeleider, waarbij hij honden heeft opgeleid o.a. voor het opsporen van verdovende middelen. Ook is hij secretaris geweest van de Ned. Pencak Silat Bond (Indonesische zelfverdediging) en heeft de bestuursopleiding hiervoor gevolgd in Djakarta (Indonesië). Hij is op een int. toernooi in Wenen (Oostenrijk) kampioen geworden in de wedstrijdvorm van Pencak Silat.
Sinds 1996 aan het dansen. Begonnen met Cubaanse salsa. Hiervoor ook op Cuba les genomen, zowel bij het Ballet Folkorico Cutumba in Santiago, als privélessen bij de diverse leraren van deze dansschool. In 1999 begonnen met les geven in Cubaanse salsa in Zaandam.
In 2000 uiteindelijk terechtgekomen bij Club Asi in Haarlem en gefascineerd geraakt door de L.A.stijl van Marlon Castillo zoals hij die naar Europa heeft gebracht. In 2001 les gaan geven in Schagen en 2003, samen met zijn partner Tonka, opgenomen in het docententeam van Club Asi.
Sinds 01 april 2005 samen met Tonka ook eigenaar geworden van deze Haarlemse Salsa dansschool.
Inmiddels ook bekend en zeer gewaardeerd als DJ Andres en veel gevraagd op buitenlandse festivals zoals Monaco, Athene, Dublin, Berlijn etc. In augustus 2007 was hij DJ op het China Salsa congress in Beijing.

Tonka Barrera

Geboren in Parijs, half nederlands/chileens, heeft 10 jaar in Spanje gewoond en gewerkt in de reiswereld.
Startte haar dansgeschiedenis in 1992 met argentijnse tango in Den Haag. In 1994 maakte zij kennis met salsa en raakte in de ban van deze dans, vanwege het bruisende en energieke aspect.
Zij belandde in 1999 in het Asi-showteam van de Haarlemse Salsa dansschool Club Asi. Vanaf 2002 assisteerde zij Paul "Gallito" Baarn in het lesgeven. Zij heeft ook gedanst in een tv-commercial van Nescafé met als thema de argentijnse tango.
Tonka is naast salsa-lerares ook gediplomeerd Astrologe en geeft les aan de Hogeschool voor Natuurgeneeswijzen in Bloemendaal. Tevens is zij Yoga-lerares, geeft lessen in Voetreflexologie en is trainer in NLP ( Neuro-Linguďstisch Programmeren).

ANDRE GAHRMANN

André born in Haarlem and has worked at municipality police force with police-dogs, where he has trained dogs among other things for tracing narcotic substances. Also he has been secretary of the Netherlands Pencak Silat Association (Indonesian self-defence) and has followed and governing board training for this in Djakarta (Indonesia). He has become on a tournament in Vienna (Austria) champion in the full contact game competition of Pencak Silat. Since 1996 to dancing. Started with Cuban salsa. For this went to Cuba and had lessons there at the ballet Folkorico Cutumba in Santiago, and privat lessons at the several teachers of this dancing school. In 1999, started with lesson give in Cuban salsa in Zaandam. In 2000, eventually arrived at Club Asi in Haarlem and fascinated by the L.A.style of Marlon Castillo such as he has brought that to Europe. In 2001 together with his partner Tonka started Salsamotion and started to give classes in Schagen and 2003, added to the teachers team of Club Asi Haarlem. Since 01 April 2005 with Tonka have become owner have of this famous Haarlem salsa dancing school. Meanwhile also very appreciated as a.k.a. DJ Andres and performed on foreign festivals such as Monaco, Athens, Dublin, Berlin etc.

TONKA BARRERA

Born in Paris, half Dutch/Chilean, Lived 10 years in Spain and worked in the travel world.
Her dancing history started in 1992, with Argentinian tango in The Hague. In 1994, she made knowledge with salsa and touched in the spell of this dancing, because of the sparkling and vigorous aspect. She ended up in 1999, in Asi-showteam of the Haarlem salsa dancing school club Asi. As from 2002 she assisted Paul "Gallito" Baarn in teaching. She has also danced in a tv-commercial of Nescafé with as topic the tango Argentinian . Besides salsa teacher Tonka also is a certificated astrologer and teaches at the College for nature healing in Bloemendaal. Also she is a yoga teachers, gives lessons in Foot reflexology and is coach in NLP (neuro-linguistic programming).
